Two insurgent rockets hit Bagram Airfield Tuesday and the C17 transporter Gen. Martin Dempsey flew in on was parked and damaged by shrapnel.
Dempsey, the visiting chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his team were asleep in quarters away from the aircraft at the time, and were not at risk, officers said.
