Japan has been hit by flooding and landslides in the south-west of the country on the southern island of Kyushu.
Around 300,000 people across the area have been told to evacuate due to the heavy rains that have been falling for the past four days.
The floods have already claimed the lives of at least 20 people, with others missing.
The Japanese government has mobilised the Defence Forces to help with the evacuation of residents, who will be temporarily re–housed in schools and government buildings.
The floods have already damaged or destroyed nearly 3,000 homes across Kyushu.
More landslides and floods are expected as rain falls at a rate of 11 centimetres an hour in some parts.
