Northern Mexico's Copper Canyon is considered one of the world's most spectacular landscapes.

But the site is also located in the middle of Mexico's drug-growing heartland, so it is struggling to attract tourists.

Drug-related violence in Chihuahua state, home to the canyon, has prompted the US to issue a travel warning that has scared away many potential visitors.

Al Jazeera's Adam Raney reports from the canyon in Chihuahua.
