To the members of the Canadian Government.
I am writing to you after watching with great alarm your assault on the indigenous people on North America. This being the Mohawk Nation which is indeed a blessing to the Nation of Canada. However, your actions show that you are inconsiderate towards the original people in Canada.
As a person of conscience, I would like to remind you of the mistakes you made in the past.
The Turtle Act of 1876 was completed and formulated without any involvement of Native peoples during it's creation. After that time YOU the Canadian government has violated the treaty itself on a continuous basis. For example: The actions you are now possibly intending to organize for in 2006.
May I also remind the Canadian government that it was YOU who initially agreed to recognize the sovereign rights of the Mohawk peoples.
May I also remind YOU that back in the 90's agreed to not police or infringe on any lad that the original people of Canada.
May I also remind you to of 1873 treaty, a precursor of your own violations with the Turtle act of 1876.
May I also remind you that the armed rebellion that took place in the 1990 was never resolved by the same Canadian authorities. Instead we only saw the violation of burial grounds of the Red fathers, despite the fact that you never even apologized for these past actions.
LET THE CANADIAN GOVENRMENT KNOW THAT THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY WORLDWIDE, LEGALLY AND RESPECTFULLY WITH RESPECT TO THE LAW, are watching closely how you are violating the dignity of the original peoples on this continent.
WE HOPE YOU HAVE LEARNED FROM YOU PAST! AFTER ALL THIS TIME HAVE THE CANADIAN AUTHORITIES LEARNED NOTHING?
We the Muslim peoples call on the Canadian government to cease it's continuing violation of the Mohawk nation, along with all six nations who are the victims of duress.
May the Red feathers always fly over all things.
