CONVERSATIONS (10) - About Talk without Words by Luc Majno on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 2:30pm   INTERVIEWER: People seem to talk a lot about all sorts of things, but it rarely seems to go anywhere, don't you think? (Standing Wolf nods and smiles as if he wants to interrupt) We seem to be constantly saying that we will do this and that, and hardly anything gets done! What about it?   STANDING WOLF: I really have to put my head down on this one! (chuckles) You see, in this world that we created, not Creator/God, whatever you want to call him or it or (I like to say that the Universe is too perfect to come from a man! I say Creator is a Woman!) (both laugh together)    But it is true! We did create this world we live in, and we have a direct effect on where it is going. We love to talk, or better yet, we love to hear ourselves talk, and get paid for it!! (laughter) We love to hear ourselves talk, and we give ourselves a boost, our Ego, and this can become a way of life, affecting all things and everyone around us. Most of the time, we talk in empty words, without meaning or substance... The First Nations of (what is now) 'british columbia' in 'canada' have a saying for the White man, or the non-Natives that they have seen so far... "Mo-Mach-Nié" is the best way I can pronounce it for you to understand...    INTERVIEWER: "Mo - Mak - what?" How did you say it?   STANDING WOLF: "Mo-Mach (like the german language when pronouncing their 'ch' and Ni (ay)   It means "The Ghost People, the ones with no substance". Those with words, nothing but words and no action to back them up... Words are meaningless... They are LIES, then, if there is nothing to come after them... APOLOGIES are worth NOTHING to the Haïda, for example, from whom we took everything, including their own lives! You would think if someone were really sincere about something, they would at least ASK the party or parties involved if it is sufficient or adequate for them... But no, the government and the churches absolve themselves with 'words'... 'We excuse OURSELVES', with empty words, 'and now we can move on'. This is a perfect example of wasteful and un-meaningful communication between those who are in a position to know better! But we all know it is done on purpose, eh? I will comment on this another time.    Let me just say one more thing. Imagine, the next time you speak, imagine that you only have a certain number of words that you can say, per day, like some sort of 'ration'... You are only given a certain number of words you can say each day. After they are used up, as in the technical computer world says, "end-game". You ran out, and you now have to stay silent. That reminds me of how we react when we have bronchitis or a severe enough ailment to make it so that we cannot talk... Amazing when you think about it! Would we not be much more careful of the words we use and how we speak? Would we not say only what is important in Life and not waste words to cuss or to put someone else down? Would we not become better care-takers of our 'tongue? (laughter) In no time at all, we would become Models for others to follow. I heard, growing up, that 'talking less was a sign of Wisdom'... (he shrugs with a smile)
