Bodies Of 16 Collaborators Killed Execution-Style Found Outside Qaim
Jun 10, 2005
JUS News Desk
The bodies of 16 US collaborators who were killed execution-style have been discovered in western Iraq.
Police said that 22 Iraqi soldiers were kidnapped after leaving their base in the town of Qaim however that is contrary to a statement issued by Al-Qaida in Iraq who stated they were holding 36 members of the so-called National Guard and are demanding that the US puppet government of Iraq free all women prisoners within 24 hours.
It is yet unclear if these 22 bodies are part of the 36 that al-Qaida are holding and who they are interrogating for crimes against Sunnis.
Many of the bodies found were blindfolded, with their hands tied behind their backs. Eleven bodies were scattered in a gravel pit and five were left beside a desert road often used by soldiers. Two of them had been beheaded.
It should be noted that the battle of Al-Qaim, that concluded just a few weeks ago with the US and their collaborators withdrawing in defeat after suffering signifigant casualties, is considered by Shiekh Abu Al-Zarqawi, leader of the group in Iraq, as a battle that will go down in Islamic history.
Al-Qaida issued a press statement at that time inviting the worlds press to see the extent of the enemy casualties however no mainstream news agencies or Arab news outlets rose to the occasion.
