Opinion–Editorials --Bread, Bread, Everywhere, Yet not a Morsel to Eat... In my latest essay, I attack the subject of starvation. Hoping to tap into the reader's pathos, I begin with a vivid description of a photo of a starving Kenyan child (which had captivated my sympathy and sparked my desire to dissect the topic of famine). I then describe the process of death by starvation, present some horrifying statistics, reveal that the principal causes of famine around the world are elitist (Neoliberal) economic policies, expose the fact that the military appropriation to famine relief spending ratio for the US is about 99 to 1, and offer the reader the conclusions I reached (in exploring the topic of starvation)...
