37 hostages killed in Baghdad church drama. Thirty–seven hostages were killed and 56 wounded when militants raided a Baghdad church on Sunday, a government official said. The attack, claimed by an ‘al–Qaeda’ group, ended when US and Iraqi forces stormed the building. "The latest toll is that 37 of the hostages were killed and 56 wounded", an Iraqi interior ministry official said.
