About Writing a Blog
Even if you don’t think of yourself as a “natural writer.” If you’ve got a blog, or are thinking about starting one, then you need to check it out
I used to hate writing for school.
Write a thesis sentence. Lay out your proof in the next 4 sentences. Prove one of those sentences in each of the next four paragraphs. It was terrible.
But writing for the web is different. People don’t care about textbook-perfect grammar, or following some arcane essay writing formula. All they care about is if your writing is entertaining, and whether or not your writing provides value.
I learned that from my friend Ramit Sethi. Ramit is a New York Times bestselling author whose work is read by millions of readers every month.
Recently he released a new guide on how to start a blog and create content people want to read — even if you don’t think of yourself as a “natural writer.” If you’ve got a blog, or are thinking about starting one, then you need to check it out.
