Terror Hails from Kerguelen Islands

"…what with a war to fight and all that"!
The blogosphere is reverberating (like after every "event" that almost axiomatically is blamed by officials on Al-Qaeda) with all sorts of whodunit scenarios. The punters put heavy odds on Tony Blair, but that Ben Netanyahu "happened" to be close by (micro-management or necrophilia?) again is astonishing and so on and on! Should (again) there be an overwhelming amount of real and circumstantial evidence pointing to government involvement, there surely will be an exculpatory "official" report to absolve the real perpetrators.
But just imagine:
What would the "normal" reader of the New York (London) Times, the Washington (Jerusalem) Post or any other "major" newspaper think of my claim that I had been responsible for the recent bombings in London? This always presupposes that the editors of these august disseminators of (what passes these days as) "news" had taken my e-mail to them or my posting on some obscure web-site seriously and had "informed" their readers of this, my "claim".
If, however, I had given myself a suitably "Arabic" ("Islamic") sounding/ looking NOM DE GUERRE and had claimed an association with a fictitious "organization" that asserted to be (in any, how so ever fantastic way) associated with the New Universal Adversary (as per the new FBI phraseology) a.k.a. Al Qaeda, then I would immediately create numerous jobs in the sole remaining growth industry on Earth - the shadow-boxing enterprise (a.k.a. "Security Apparatus"). Had I given my location (anywhere on this lonely planet - say for argument's sake the Kerguelen Islands - a place that probably one in every 5 million Americans has ever heard of), I would have triggered an onrush of "tourism" ... like in the <Blues Brothers>, a veritable army of "Keystone-Cops"- like troops brandishing any weapon known to man (and there surely is a new weapon that needs "testing") would converge on these islands to give me the "fox"- or Kunta Kinte treatment (of full spectrum dominance).
Dubya would rush to Congress and sweet-talk/ cajole the American law-makers into bending existing law - yet again - to dispatch a carrier group (come on Pentagon .. there must be still a fleet somewhere that we can "activate". in any case, the Brits surely have some assets left over from times when they were somebody in their own right - after all, it is their turn now) into the ???? Ocean! Yes - but where are the "K" islands? Anybody ever heard of them?
(The Kerguelen Archipelago is situated at 49°20' South, 70°20' East, midway between Africa, Antarctica and Australia. Kerguelen is a French possession, lying some 13,000 km from France in the Southern Indian Ocean. The main island occupies measures roughly 120 km by 140 km, occupies 6,675 sq km and is surrounded by around 300 other smaller islands, reefs and rocks, forming an archipelago of 7,215 sq km. Orders go out to Langley, Va. (and - not to forget: Hollywood!) to the "evidence/ opinion creation" Departments of the US Government and - presto - the "K" Islands will be shown to have harboured a terrorist-network for a long time! They were so secretive and operating so clandestinely that none of their activities have ever been traced back to them. While the "fixers" are at it, they will finally be able to pin most (if not all) the "terrorist" activities since the onset of Globalization on these newly discovered super enemies of Anglo-Saxon freedoms..!
Head-Scarves and Terrorist Bombs
If what I have managed to get to know about Muslim women wearing (or being forced to wear) head scarves is correct, then this was a reaction to French colonialism in North Africa having had the side-effect that not only the expatriate women in the region, but also the local members of the fairer sex began to appear in public in ever more revealing dresses. Unable to protest in any other way against colonialist oppression, already long abandoned ancient dress-codes were re-introduced. Let us not forget - this was cultural "blow-back"! Decades after the "guest-workers" from the soft underbelly of Europe had been imported en masse to do the work for which "normal" Europeans considered themselves "too good", these former guests have integrated themselves into European society. As they had come there to work, they had achieved what had been promised to them - "equality". But, as George Orwell had prophesied a half century earlier, some are (consider themselves) "more equal" than others. But what to do, when the sacred oxymoron of equality turns out to be a proverbial double-edged sword? That is where the "Professor of Hate" Samuel Huntington and his separatist dictum of the <Clash of Civilizations> "comes in". In his manifesto (appropriately translated into German as the <Clash of Cultures> Anglo-Saxons have civilization, Germans have culture!) he has predicted what is happening now: what had originated as a "blow-back" against French colonial rule decades ago is now being used to create a counter-counter "revolution" in Europe. The wearing of head-scarves is being forbidden in some countries. And presto - we have a clash of cultures… just like the professor ordered!
With the "Downing Street Memo" unquestionably showing the "War on Iraq" having been an entirely fraudulent and illegal exercise to create an artificially high oil-price (to keep the Anglo-American Real Estate Bubble- if not the entire bubble of Anglo-American economy) from bursting "on their watch", Bush and Blair had decided to go down in history as a victorious "war" president and PM. Somebody please tell this to the people of Iraq. Just like any good debater will defeat his opponent with his arguments, a good warrior will deafeat his opponent with his tactics! Just like the head-scarves, terrorist bombs started out not as <actions> but as "ultima ratio" of hapless victims of overwhelming might - they were <reactions>! So - if head-scarves can be used to stir up trouble - why not throw a few bombs to keep alive the "momentum"?
The "War on Terror" is being faught against an enemy that does - in that sense - not exist! (That Al Qaeda is a classic case of the "Sorcerer's Syndrome" is - in this context - an additional complication which far exceeds the mental flexibility of the "man on the street".) In any case, this is a war that will not be "won" by anybody! As long as the reasons for "terrorism" are not removed, it will be a continued (senseless) shadow-boxing match. But while millions of protesters against any military involvement were "overlooked" and "democratic elections" are not decided by those who cast the votes, but those who "count" them (as Josef Stalin had quipped long ago), the "Downing Street Memo" was eroding the will to "win" on both sides of the Atlantic. The recent bombs in London have rekindled the war-resolve: while Americans are altogether too much engrossed in their "freedoms" to think clearly (since I. Kant was a "Kraut", logic is a pooh-pooh word which has been replaced with "I can therefore I want"), the British have now again a "stiff upper lip". No more of this wavering in the fighting spirit ... "let's go and get them!" But who are THEY??? Which brings us back to the beginning of this rant...
This is where the "K" Islands would come in handy! No need to first boycott and bomb them for a decade (Dept. of Trade has never authorized any sale of genocidal weapons to them - and YES - the National Geographic Society is corroborating the report from the CIA that the "K" Islands do in fact exist somewhere in the southern Indian Ocean equidistant between Africa, Australia and Antarctica!) Just a few bogus "reports" authored by some "has-been" of an "intelligence" apparatus on business relations of G.H. Bush and some "K" Islander will do!
As the Bush and bin Laden families are business partners, the "connection" is made! If, by any chance this "author" could be styled into a renegade from some "evil" country (maybe even a turn-coat; as such highly moralistic behaviour hugely increases the credibility of conversos to the "right" World View) then this would be even better. The "fixers" in Langley surely could create a suitable entity- they did it before and an encore is being loudly called for by Thomas Friedman in his article in the Herald Tribune the day after the bombs of London went off. Friedman is even more lunatic than usual - he scribbles that such a terror attack in a place like Riyadh were a police problem, while the "events" of London take on a civilization-threatening dimension! That probably exceeds Einstein’s wildest expectations regarding the applicability of his "relativity" fable.
So, Mr. Blair, let me suggest: place a call to Dubya, tell him that the "intelligence" regarding the perpetrators of the London bombs being from the "K" Islands (maybe your "fixers" come up with a better place to bomb) is legit and then do it all over: get a cruise ship turned into a troop carrier again, round up the remaining Ghurkhas (not to forget, place a call to John Howard - he surely owes you the usual contingent of "diggers" to throw against the newest "enemy".). Lest you forget - your entirely insincere ploy RE: debt-forgiveness for Africa could be silently put on the back-burner: "what with a war to fight and all that"! (Joseph Heller, forgive me - but that line of yours fits all too perfectly!)
Many decent people will consider it preposterous to insinuate that the London bombings were carried out by some sick minded people - other than the "usual suspects"- to stay with well-used language (menomic) patterns. But then again - the same people find nothing wrong with holding the New Universal Adversary responsible! This "just in time" terrorism is becoming all too repetitious: whenever politicians have painted them-selves into too tight a corner with their lies, people start to die! The grief over the victims of senseless slaughter makes people all too susceptible for new lies! The "Downing Street Memo" clearly lets the "reasons" for the Iraq war disappear into puffs of hot air… If THAT were permitted to become the "normal" thinking, then what about the "reason(s)" for the Afghanistan war?
With Chinese crack-troops in Venezuela and any "action" against Iran surely being no "Turkey Shoot" (the "Ayatollahs" are not likely to have scrapped the hundreds of Exocet equipped front-line fighter planes and attack helicopters that gave "Stormin' Norman" the finger during Gulf-War I), the "K" Island alternative looks decidedly a better proposition.
Who will be surprised to see a flotilla steaming towards the "K" Islands? Whatever the rationale for 7-7-7: numerology surely (?) is too glib, a "cover" for "9-11" too prosaic? I.D. cards will finally make Britons biometrically verifiable "subjects" (what is the use in having lots of sheep if you cannot prove that they are "yours"?) - and again, this will not be opposed any longer,

.. the reduction of British troops in Iraq (announced a day before the blasts in London) will never be spoken of again ...... veterans of the assorted "wars" of the recent past who die of odd diseases and father grotesquely malformed children will just disappear down the memory hole and so on ..
