CROOKED SCISSORS
a writing
Everywhere I look, I see crooked.
In all that I do, I think crooked.
My lines that I cut are crooked,
My life with others, with Nature,
All of it is crooked.
How can this be?
Maybe because the tool is crooked.
Maybe because the one instrument
That I am using,
The one that has taught me all that I am
Is crooked, and I now realize this.
There is only one thing to do.
I look at my scissors.
They are crooked.
I change scissors.
