I offer my suggestions here to the people on my list.  If there any corrections or additional information, let me know and I will send them out.

To the people in unity and support of the struggle at Caledonia,

Keep up the pressure and intensify all efforts.  Ben

Here is a few links for more current news.

      http://www.ndnnews.com/Caledonia%20Occupation.htm

Also, do a search on "Oka Crisis" and this link should show up.  http://archives.cbc.ca/IDD-1-71-99/conflict_war/oka/

If you have high speed internet, there are some videos that can help to dramatize the situation in Caledonia.  If you don't have high speed, it will be worth the wait.

I've heard of plans to do demos at two of the Canadian Embassies.  Anyone else?  There is an opportunity to do a worldwide concerted effort to let Canada know the world is watching

   Another person offered this:

Obviously it should go higher than this BUT, Maybe we could send out
complaints into the " Ontario Provincial Police."
   Bombard them with complaints.................
I am a little ignorant on "OPP" so I looked up on line and found below
   info:

I looked at the OPP website. I found out that the commissioner is a
   woman,
here is an excerpt on the commissioner:
Gwen M. Boniface began her policing career with the Ontario Provincial
   Police
(O.P.P.) in 1977. In 1998, she was named Commissioner and now leads
   more than
7,000 O.P.P. uniform and civilian members serving in Ontario. She is
responsible for policing services to diverse communities throughout
   the
province, including front-line delivery, administrative support
   services and
   highly specialized and multi-jurisdictional investigations.
   AND:::::::::::::
Commissioner Boniface is, by invitation, a member of the First Nations
   Chiefs
of Police. She is the first woman to have held the position of
   President of
the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and the first Canadian
   police
officer to be elected General Chair of the International Association
   of Chiefs
of Police Division of State and Provincial.

As for any other links with the higher gov't etc, I'm unsure what to
   suggest.

Don't expect the police to say I am sorry, but hit them hard with emails, letters, phone calls and whatever you can come up with.

Some websites that you can bombard to bring the news to national/international attention:

Www.indymedia.org  (try to get something posted in every state asking people to send their complaints to the addresses above, including the Canadian Embassy)

http://edition.cnn.com (keep the pressure on CNN so that it doesn't get put on the backburner because George Bush parts his hair on the other side)  (Continue hitting your local news media and the national affiliates

Email all of the major religious organizations.  (I have a phone modem, so the internet is very slow for me, therefore, I am unable to do this for you.  Remember, the people we are supporting are doing a lot more than we are standing in the cold facing an armed assault.  So whatever faith you belong to contact its main headquarters and ask them to broadcast an alert to it members, and make this a focus of its prayers this week)

Make an address folder for all religious and news organizations so whenever updates come in or a new issue erupts, you have a means of getting the word out.  If some one has a comprehensive list, please send it to me.  It could help to save me a lot of time, and others also.

I have heard that if someone has satellite, there is a station that has live feed of Caledonia and the stand-off, maybe someone can hit reply to all and provide that information.

Also, I am not at my computer all day so if everyone could contact    "Orakwa International Indigenous Ent." <orakwa@paulcomm.ca

and ask to be placed on their immediate updates, you'll have the info faster than I can get it to you.
