“The people of our Frontier carry on private expeditions against the Indians, and kill them whenever they meet them.  And I do not believe there is a jury in all of Kentucky who would punish a man for it.”

                                         John H. (?) - US Army

“While strong, it had been our obvious policy to weaken them.  Now that they are weak and harmless, and most of their lands’ fallen into our hands, they must be taught to improve their condition.

William Clarke  -  Superintendent of Indian Affairs

“The Humbolt Times, Eureka, January 17th...

Headline:  Good haul of diggers.  Band exterminated.”

“Damn any man who sympathises with Indians.  I have come to kill Indians, and believe it is right and honorable to use any means under God’s heaven to kill them.”

                                                      -  Colonel John Chivington

“The buffalo hunters have done more to settle the vexed Indian question than the entire regular army!  For the sake of lasting peace, let them kill, skin and sell until the buffalos are exterminated!”

                                                                 -  General Phil Sheridan  -  US Army

Enough.  I can go on for hours like this..

This is how we have come to where we are now.

This is the forsight our fathers had.  This is simply GREED at it's best.

"This land must be obtained at any cost..."  The further down you dig, the more you will find.  These are supposedly our heros, our mentors, and people who, some of them, were slingshot to the Presidency for their ideas on «removal»...  Custer, who they called «woman killer», and George Washington’s face on the «dollar bill», a man they called «town destroyer», all of this a social class that I looked up to and on whose ideals I grew up...

I remember seeing westerns where Indians were the savages, and the star actors were the «heroes», all the likes of John Wayne,  Charles Bronson, Yul Brynner...  Heroes?…

I remember...

What a disgrace.  Now, all of it becomes the excuse of being «learned behaviour», and this is what we hide behind.  Nothing is done about anything.  Just like the moderate Indians who thought back then that armed conflict against the US would be suicide, no one in his right mind now-a-days would go around calling our government(s) criminals...

Everyone wants to protect him or her self...  Wrong...  Well not really.

These people «have already reaped their rewards»...  It’s right in the Bible.

The real challenge for us now, is trying to facing up to our responsabilities, just like the government wants us to think, but for different reasons!  So now, as in times past, they write and rewrite the laws as we go along...  The bad seed is much more powerful than we might think.  It lives in each one of us, toying on our fears of losing «everything».

And our «everything» is far too precious to make or take a stand on «anything».

It is all small talk.  It also only lasts for about 15 minutes in most cases...

It is all EGO (earth guide only) and material wealth that guides society today...

For now...  but there is a limit to it all, and we are fast approaching it, where Mother will say:

"Enough is enough".
