Social Justice: Let's make it happen!
I am asking for a few minutes of your precious time to read about the three topics below. I am biased, but I believe it will be worth your investment. In my ongoing quest for social justice, civil liberties and intellectual freedom, I want to make you aware of the following:
1. Please join Amnesty International! It is as simple as going to www.amnestyusa.org, and making a donation of at least $25.00 via credit card. As you are probably aware, Amnesty is calling for an independent domestic investigation of war crimes and human rights abuses by Bush, Rumsfeld and company. Amnesty has even gone a step further by calling on foreign nations to investigate and prosecute Bush and company, if the US fails to clean its own house. I want to be a part of the group pushing for accountability for the architects of the "Gulag of our Times". Don't you?
2. On my blog, I have published an article by Gerald Rellick, a PhD and college instructor. I feel fortunate to have his work on my site, and hope that he becomes a regular contributor! Please visit Thomas Paine's Corner at http://civillibertarian.blogspot.com/ to read his piece about Pat Tillman and John McCain. It is an excellent editorial!
3. Thanks to Debbie Chapman with the Progressive Blogger's Union for circulating a truly generous appraisal of my efforts (see below). Thanks to each of you for your continued reading and support! I hope that when you find the time, you visit and investigate the sites that have published my work (see links below). They are non-profit (or zero profit), like me, and thus do not answer to corporate masters. I find their freedom and integrity to be highly refreshing. They will introduce you to a whole new world of news that does not make it past the censors (oops, I meant "editors") at the KC Star, ABC News, CNN, Fox, etc......

Jason Miller at Thomas Paine's Corner has been tireless "as a humble contributor to the cause of social justice and intellectual freedom." His efforts have not gone unnoticed by Bill Moyers, who referenced one of his articles in a citation he gave recently to a group of journalists about the Bush administration's corruption of PBS. Thank you for all your hard work, Jason. You are a leader of patriots.
