The Rise of American Fascism - Part Two

Well, yanno, in America, fascism never had a lot of rising to do because the cornerstone for that ideology was already laid long before 1776.  After all, fascism is a regime that's ruled by a wealthy elite and incorporates a great deal of racism.  Well, that's the type of regime that was created here already in 1776, called itself United States of America, and labeled itself with the misnomer "democracy."

Yet this "democracy" from the onset made sure that everybody except rich white men are completely disenfranchised, and genocide and slavery were a vital part of this new country.  The nazis in the 3rd Reich merely copied the US, and Hitler admitted that freely.

Fascism Part II: The Rise of American Fascism

The rise of fascism itself is a complex story, much less the rise of American fascism. Just as understanding the rise of fascism in Europe requires understanding the conditions of the time, so too understanding fascism in America requires understanding the conditions leading up to its transformation into a fascist state.
