"Downing Street memo" on Iraq met mostly with silence - It's been about a month since 89 House Democrats — including six from the Bay Area — asked the president to explain himself in light of this memo.
And it's been almost three weeks since the White House press secretary said that isn't going to happen.
So now what?

Ask the God Damn Question! - Why, after 2 years, hasn’t a single reporter asked the most obvious question of the enitire crime that is the invasion of Iraq…WHAT DID SADAM REFUSE? Are they referring to the US imposed Catch 22 demand that he disarm Iraq of the WMD’s that IRAQ DID NOT HAVE? WHAT THE HELL DID WE GO TO WAR FOR? Saddam permitted intrusive inspections with NO TIME LIMIT! WHAT DID HE REFUSE?

A U.S. Embassy spokesman had no immediate comment.

US Secy of State wants to reform Latin America- It was Washington, not Osama bin Laden, who mastered the tactic of flying aircraft into buildings on September 11th...That any US politician could have the audacity to demand anything from Latin America, a continent which has been ravaged by Washington's criminal interference and murderous intrusion, is unacceptable. That these words could come from Condoleezza Rice, a lynchpin of the Bush regime, whose history speaks for itself, is unfathomable.

Gorbachev criticises US bid for global domination ;Gorbachev called for the rapid withdrawal of what he called occupation forces, warning: 'The longer they stay, the worse the situation will get.' 'You cannot get anywhere ... by trying to dominate,' he told a meeting marking the 20th anniversary of his 1985 Geneva summit with U.S. President Ronald Reagan, a turning point in then frigid East-West relations.,, 'That doesn't work with small countries nowadays, and even less with big ones like Russia, Iran and -- heaven forbid -- China. That way lies disaster,' said Gorbachev.
